Foundation prepares 500 meals daily for Providence families in need

PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) – The Snapchef Foundation has transformed its Providence location to provide meals for the city, preparing over 500 meals per day for families in need.

Snapchef Founders Todd and Daniela Snopkowski wanted to help the residents of Providence during this pandemic since the city took them in with open arms.

Their company will be preparing both hot and cold meals daily to supply families and residents in need and hope to produce more meals as donations increase.

Mayor Jorge Elorza voiced his support for Snapchef’s efforts, thanking them for “providing our most vulnerable residents with delicious and nutritious meals, delivered to their doorstep.”

Snapchef plans and preparing meals over the course of the pandemic and updating their menu daily to provide more options. They will also be distributing family-style meals to community-based organizations, working hand-in-hand with Providence’s Healthy Communities Office.

Snapchef is looking for more donations to help provide meals for those in need.

To help donate, you can email their Director of Marking, Andrew Augustus, at andrew@snapchef.com to plan drop-offs or donate money online by visiting Snapchef’s website.
